The art you are viewing is a spiritual journey I have been on. I have allowed my spiritual guide as I call it, to help me create the art. I typically clear my mind and just let the art flow out on to the surface as though I was poring it out. Some times the guild show me a color and it is a powerful energy that will enter the room. The color will be the best choice and in the end I see how beautifully they all speak to one another. The more I work with a piece the more the spiritual entity reveals it's self. I never feel a piece is finished. I feel they are ever evolving and even maturing, but never finished.
